The Delaware State Police responded to the area of Naamans Road and Carpenter Bridge Rd at 9:04 am for a crash. Police learned one of the vehicle’s involved in the crash was wanted for a child abduction that occurred in Chester County Pennsylvania. Further investigation revealed the Pennsylvania State Police were in active pursuit with a 2000 Gold Infiniti I-30 that was stolen in Chester County earlier this morning. In the vehicle when it was stolen was a 1-year-old girl from Chester, Pennsylvania.

A second vehicle, 2004 Chevy Pick-up operated by Brian Parker, 46 of Boothwyn, PA was stopped at the red light on Carpenter Station Road facing southbound. The suspect vehicle attempted to turn right to travel northbound on Carpenter Station Rd when it struck the Chevy Pick-up in the driver side. After the crash, the suspect fled on foot but was immediately caught by a Pennsylvania State Trooper.

The driver of the Chevy Pick-up suffered some minor injuries and was transported to Wilmington Hospital. The child was not injured.
