BRIAN P. MURPHY, Esq.
Brian heads the Nursing Home Litigation Department at Lowenthal & Abrams. He focuses his department’s practice on fighting for the rights of the elderly who have been neglected and abused at long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes. Brian believes that the elderly deserve, and are entitled to, compassionate and quality care that recognizes their dignity and individuality.
For nearly his entire career, Brian has been representing the elderly in neglect and abuse cases. He takes great pride in working closely with his clients and carefully building solid cases against wrongdoing facilities. This deliberate and methodical approach to his cases has led to many significant successes over the years amounting to millions of dollars in compensation to his clients. Brian has uncovered various types of elderly neglect and abuse from simple, single-incident fall cases to complex, institutional neglect wherein the elderly are routinely and/or deliberately neglected for the sake of increasing facility profits.
Licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and a graduate of Rutgers College and Rutgers School of Law, Brian has worked for and with numerous prominent regional and national firms combating abuse and neglect in nursing homes. He has published a number of articles on the subject and spoken at both regional and national seminars instructing other attorneys on how to effectively litigate nursing home cases.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys following current events, keeping fit, reading, and listening to music; but, first and foremost, he is a family man who greatly appreciates spending quality time with his wonderful wife and three children.
